Coaching (Summer)
More than the usual Summer Lesson often organized by schools during the long holiday, also called Summer Holiday, ATS organises special coaching session for its pupils during the period.
This coaching is in addition to the regular teaching-and-learning offered the pupils.
The coaching which is in various areas, each year, is handled by experts and experienced personnel. Some areas handled in the past include: tie-and-dye, craft, fine art and designs, music, leadership, safety drills, sports etc.
Children have always emerged better, equipped and more confident about life’s challenges from our Summer Coaching exposures.
Chess and Scrabble Class
For over a session now, the school intoruduced into its curriculum the
subjects of Chess and Scrabble.
These indoor-games are taken beyond the margin of a game. They are
taken and treated with the seriousness of an academic engagement. A
specially-endowed teacher handles this subject exclusively and
engages children in both the theory and practical exposure of pupils
to the skill of playing the games. And as expected, this has
significantly sharpened the capacity for strategic thinking among our
pupils, just as it has enriched the vocabulary bank of our pupils
respectively.
Our Clubs
In a conscious attempt to make learning have some fun, we have introduced the various clubs in the school. The clubs are optional for pupils. In addition to the fun thereof, the essence of the clubs is to raise the ante of practical skills among the club members. The results have been tremendous as beneficiaries of the clubs have shown and demonstrated enviable skills in the various clubs, as each of the clubs is handled by experts and people evidently proficient in the skill related to the clubs. Indeed, the clubs include:
